Frequently Asked Questions About Therapy

I provide services exclusively via telehealth, meaning all sessions are conducted virtually via a secure video platform. You will receive a unique link prior to each therapy session.

I am licensed to provide therapy to individuals located anywhere in the states of Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and Florida.

During your initial session, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals, and any questions or concerns you may have. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine the best approach for your treatment.

Therapy sessions typically involve open and confidential discussions between you and me, where we explore your feelings, thoughts, and concerns. The goal is to help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and work towards personal growth and healing.

Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes long. The frequency of sessions varies based on your needs and goals. Initially, weekly sessions are recommended, but we can discuss a schedule that works best for you during our first appointment.

Yes, therapy is confidential. Your privacy is of utmost importance, and I adhere to strict ethical and legal guidelines to protect your information. There are some exceptions, such as if you pose a danger to yourself or others, which we will discuss during our first session.

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. It’s important to check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage.

If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full cost of the session. Cancellation fees cannot be submitted to insurance for OON reimbursement.
